Torches are optional, the dungeon isn’t hard if you play your cards right in.
As the last living member of the family, which still bears the law for the ruins, you will have to discover the secret, hidden in the dungeons, thus releasing the mansion from the fiendish spells. This is partly as a reminder to myself because I forget what’s the minimum for the dungeon right after the tutorial, but to save money it’s: -4 Food, only noticed one hunger tile in general, bring 8 for safety and heals. It tells the story of a mansion which was once conquered by the primeval and evil forces. Crusader does extra damage against undead with some of his attacks. Avoid heroes who do bleed damage because all the skeletons are immune.

Please do not update or edit mods that are co-authored by others without their permission. One of the bosses you will have to defeat is the Necromancer, who can be encountered in the Ruins. Anyone is free to copy or fork them, and may continue updating or preserve the ones that belonged exclusively to me as they see fit. One of the great things about Darkest Dungeon is that you can customize your party as there is a range of different heroes available, so each boss battle can be made easier with the right setup.
